Our
Offices
A
documented history begins with John Drage, the first proprietor.
His boot and shoemaking company, one of the first in Bozeat,
was established in the 1860's and continued well into the
1900's.
By 1910 the company was listed as John Drage & Son though
by this time, only William was involved in the business,
the other son having left the firm. There is some disagreement
as to the origin of the name "Arch Villa", but
locals believe the owner named his properties after his
sons Archibald & Gordon.
During
the early years of the 20th century, Arch Villa played host
to local boxing matches before becoming a garage, TV repair
shop and immediately prior to our tenure, the home of an
engineering company.
